Scaling magnifies both strengths and mistakes. Prove the handling and result first, then multiply.

Method

  1. Make the smallest useful batch

Use enough material to evaluate the real process and result without committing the whole supply.

  2. Use it normally

Test it in the situation it was designed for and capture sensory notes and performance.

  3. Adjust as a new version

If it needs a change, create the next version rather than silently editing the formula.

  4. Scale only after a good result

Multiply the proven version and keep the original ratios explicit.

Insider tips

  • Tripling a formulation can expose mixing, texture, or stability problems that were easy to miss at small scale.
